Compliance Monitoring Officer

My client is looking for a driven and career passionate candidate to work for a leading Banking and Finance firm on a full time and permanent basis. My client is offering a new and exciting opportunity for a candidate with a strong background in Compliance Monitoring as well as dealing with the accountability for approved persons.

The Role:
As Compliance Monitoring Officer you will undertake comprehensive compliance monitoring reviews of individuals proposed for Senior Management and Certified Regime roles and act as the regulators internal lookout and enforce and control suitable standards and risks across the business ensuring staff conduct is following regulation.

As Compliance Monitoring Officer your role will include:
Assist in the identification of Compliance risks through the compliance monitoring plan and help maintain and update the compliance risk register for the business.
Assist the Compliance Manager with Compliance Monitoring Programme with the production of time-bound compliance monitoring reports, follow up and implement any approved recommendations with the stakeholders and/or affected business units.
Update Compliance key risk indicators on monthly basis in order for the compliance manager to present to the regulatory compliance committees.
Communicate and raise awareness of compliance to the business units to cultivate a compliance culture and understanding of issues imperative to compliance.
Monitor completion of compliance training including AML, TCF and data protection by business employees and follow up where appropriate.

The Person
The successful candidate will have previously worked for or with the FCA/PRA in dealing with approved persons or have a background in Consumer Credit, Mortgages or Insurance with compliance monitoring knowledge and experience. Passionate in their work and driven to succeed the right candidate for the role will hold a professional compliance qualification or an industry recognised qualification.
