We are looking to source an experienced legal conflicts professional to join our clients risk and compliance team. The position will be working closely with the director of risk and compliance and the AML manager. Although the role is focused on conflicts, the position may require taking on other ad-hoc duties typical or a wider remit risk and compliance position.

The Conflicts Team has full responsibility for all conflicts matters and clearance across the Group. They are a small (but growing), busy and dedicated team.
As well as being the point of escalation for the Conflicts Team for all complex matters, the Conflicts Manager will advise partners on all matters of conflict whilst developing, updating and drafting policies and procedures, provide training throughout the firm and managing, supervising and mentoring members of the team.
You will have experience of successfully developing and managing a conflicts team and the operation of conflict checking systems, an extensive knowledge of the regulatory requirements that a firm of solicitors must comply with in relation to conflict and confidentiality rules. You will also possess sound reasoning skills in relation to commercial issues and decisions arising from potential conflicts of interest.
You will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to appropriately handle any difficult calls from internal customers. You will be a keen team player and be passionate about the adherence to the professional conduct rules and the maintenance of high standards within the solicitor's profession.
