CRM Manager - Database/ Business Development

Strong working relationships exist at all levels between management, partners, associates and the business development team members.

Our team consists of three Business Development Managers and two Business Development Assistants based in London, plus a Business Development Manager and a Business Development Assistant based in Sheffield.

We also have a Marketing Support Services team, which includes an Executive Secretary, an Events Manager, a Systems, Database and Marketing Analyst team and Graphic Design. Our team of three communications experts manage our PR and media profile as well as handling internal communications.

The opportunity

Key Objectives

Management and development of the CRM Systems Team and CRM services to support the firm's business strategy. Spearhead improvements in usage and data quality through enhanced knowledge of inputting and extracting information and benefits of using the system

The role

Database management:

Management and development of the firm wide CRM platform, Thomson Reuters Contact Manager, including:

  • Database and report development, software upgrades, improving data quality and analysis including data cleaning initiatives.
  • Profile-raising throughout firm to improve knowledge and use by fee earners and secretaries.
  • Directly support key Business Development initiatives by promoting the Contact Manager platform as an essential tool in recording and utilising significant CRM data and generating reports.
  • Trouble shooting/solving problems and providing first line support for technical queries.
  • Liaising with project team in procurement of new CRM System, earmarked for 2017.

Targeting and List building:

  • Integration of key data with Finance system (Elite 3E), to achieve effective targeting.
  • Advising Partners on the use of internally sourced list data to create business development and cross selling opportunities, e.g. marketing penetration reports.
  • Management of specific initiatives when required, including list cleaning and list building projects.

Direct marketing:

  • Management of the direct marketing software Vuture (event invitations, publications, template development etc.); advising on CRM initiatives.

Other areas:

  • Management of an executive and assistant, promotion and development of the team.
  • Budget management of CRM and research resources.
  • Management of third supplier relationships.
  • Oversee the firm’s recently-established credentials database.
