Legal - Regional Facilities Supervisor

ConsultRPM is working with a successful and growing legal practice who are looking to take on a Facilities Manager who can take responsibility for the Sheffield and Manchester offices (primarily based in Sheffield).  Supporting the Head of Facilities the role will cover the following:


The role

  • Management of the Facilities, Client Reception, Switchboard, Front of House, Records Management teams, Postroom/Reprographics.
  • Budget management with the inclusion of invoice authorisation.
  • Responsibility of contractors and contracts, which include facility maintenance and security, cleaning, catering, fire, lifts, waste disposal, CCTV adhering to SLA’s.
  • On-going review and maintenance of the office emergency protocol and attend out-of-hours emergency call-outs.
  • Managing Health and Safety policies and procedures for both the Sheffield and Manchester offices.
  • Plan, co-ordinate and manage office moves including Solicitor Trainee seat moves/ adjustments and management of space & floor plans.
  • Review departmental working methods to identify potential improvements.
  • Environmental management.
  • Attend regular team and contract meetings.

The person

  • BIFM Membership is (essential)
  • IOSH/NEBOSH Health and Safety qualified
  • Experience in a similar role within another law firm or professional services firm.
  • Project management experience
  • Track record in managing large teams.
  • Proven organisational skills with the ability to manage conflicting priorities.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Flexible, adaptable with a hands-on approach to the role.
  • Excellent team working skills.
